A military helicopter carrying Kaduna State governor, Patrick Yakowa and the immediate past National Security Adviser by name General Owoeye Azazi plus four other personnels crashed this afternoon at Bayelsa State.
This incident happened when Yakowa, Azazi and several other politicians were returning from the burial of the father of the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Oronto Douglas in Bayelsa this afternoon and several helicopters were hired to transport the dignitaries to and from the event.
The helicopter in which Yakowa, Azazi and others where in, is believed to have crashed between 4:30pm this evening around swampy Okoroba Community at Nembe local government Area of Bayelsa state. The Nigeria's National Emergency Management Authority reported that they are still looking for the helicopter.
